About Us

About Raising Avigalo

We stand at the intersection of family, digital immersion, and healing. Raising Avigalo helps families navigate gaming immersion with compassion, connection, and courage.

🌱 Our Mission

To acknowledge and understand the Avigalo experience—youth immersed in gaming—and equip families with tools to restore connection and purpose.

🌟 Our Vision

A society where young people are not lost to digital isolation but are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive offline and online.

Who We Serve

We serve parents, caregivers, educators, and especially the youth themselves—creating safe spaces for honest stories, shared struggles, and new solutions.

Who We Are

Raising AVIGALO™ was born from lived experience—parents, caregivers, and communities grappling with a “gray space”: youth too functional to qualify for disability supports, yet too impacted by trauma, executive dysfunction, or social isolation to launch independently.

Our Story

From the Grey Into Grace

Every journey has a moment where the map runs out, and you must chart a new course by heart. This is the story of finding strength in a world without easy answers, and creating a space where that truth can be shared.

Our Approach

What Makes Us Different

01

Exploring what draws youth in, and what they find there (belonging, mastery, safety).

02

Helping AVIGALOs reflect, express themselves, and connect their strengths to real-world goals.

03

Acknowledging caregiver dilemmas, burnout, and hope, while building practical strategies.

04

centering lived experience to influence systemic change in mental health, education, and anti-racism.

05

We recognize and celebrate interests, passions, and abilities that others might dismiss or pathologize. Whether it’s deep knowledge of gaming mechanics, hyperfocus on specific topics, or creative problem-solving approaches, we see these as strengths to nurture rather than challenges to overcome.

06

Rather than positioning ourselves as experts dispensing advice to those in need, we operate as fellow travelers sharing resources, insights, and support. Our founders, contributors, and community members are all walking similar paths, we learn from each other and grow together.
